Five clubs set to reject 250,000 farewell donation to outgoing Premier League chairman Richard Scudamore
At least five Premier League clubs are ready to reject a 5million goodbye gift to departing Premier League executive chairman Richard Scudamore.The proposal had been requested by Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck, who has developed a close friendship with Scudamore since becoming chairman at Stamford Bridge 15 years ago.Premier League chief exec Richard Scudamore to stand down at the end of the year2

Buck had called on senior figures at all 20 Premier League clubs to each make a 250,000 donation to Scuadmore who earns a basic salary of 900,000 with annual bonuses up to 1.6m.While it remains unclear exactly which clubs are against the idea, the voting process only requires 14 clubs to push it through.The 59-year-old, who steps down next month having joined the Premier League as chief executive in November 1999, is to be replaced by Susanna Dinnage.Bruce Buck has proposed the idea to all 20 clubs2
