Alan Brazil has sent a strong message to the Rangers fans who aimed sectarian abuse at Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke in Wednesday nights Scottish Cup clash at Ibrox.Clarke was fuming after Killies 5-0 defeat at the hands of Steven Gerrards side, but his anger was less about his teams performance and more about the abuse hurled at him by some Gers supporters.The former Chelsea player and coach was disgusted with chants of sad Fenian b*****dthat were heard from some sections of the home support, and accused fans of living in the Dark Ages.2

He also went on to explain his thankfulness for Chelsea taking him away from west Scotland when he signed from St Mirren in 1987, so his family did not have to grow up being accustomed to such abuse.Its lovely being back in the west of Scotland, really nice, he said in his post-match press conference.They can call me a b*****d or a w****r. No problem, thanks, guys. But to call me a Fenian b*****d, come on. Where are we living in? The Dark Ages? What are we doing in Scotland?I wake up every morning and thank Chelsea for coming and taking me away from the west of Scotland because my children dont understand this.2

Clarke spent 11 years of his playing career at Chelsea and later returned to the London club as a coach

And former Scotland international Brazil slammed the fans involved in the disgraceful scenes.Speaking on Thursday morning, the Sports Breakfast host said: Im a Glasgow boy, I was born and bred up there and I know what its all about.But guys, you dont need to be coming out with rubbish like that towards Steve Clarke for Gods sake. Not now, not in todays age.You can sing your songs and get involved but that abuse to Steve Clarke, who is doing a brilliant job, is bang out of order.If you were a part of that, youre bang out of order. Stop it!
