I have given everything to Celtic as a player and manager already in my career and I am ready to do the same again. I will be doing all I can to continue the great work that has gone on in recent years.“I am delighted that John Kennedy and Damien Duff have agreed to be part of my team. John will allow us to have important continuity and Damien will bring real knowledge and experience to the first team squad.I am returning to one of the biggest and best clubs in world football and I cant wait to get started.Lennon’s appointment by Celtic was announced shortly after Rodgers’ move to Leicester was confirmed by the Premier League club.Rodgers was unveiled as Leicester boss on Tuesday night2

Rodgers signed a deal with the Foxes until June 2022 after compensation was agreed with Celtic. The 46-year-old, who was at the King Power Stadium to watch his new side’s Premier League match with Brighton on Tuesday night, said on the club website: “I’m very privileged and honoured to be here as Leicester City manager and I’ll give my life to make the supporters proud of their club.“Together, we’ll be stronger and I’m looking forward to working with the players, staff and supporters to make the right steps forward.”Rodgers, the formerLiverpool boss, had been in charge at Parkhead since 2016 and led Celtic to an unprecedented domestic double-treble with the Hoops on course for a third.Celtic are eight points clear of Rangers with the Betfred Cup already in the trophy room and with a William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final against Hibernian, whom Lennon left in January, to come at Easter Road on Saturday.Rodgers is Leicester’s third permanent manager since they sacked title-winning boss Claudio Ranieri in February 2017.
