Both test events have to take place for the stadium to be awarded the safety certificates required for it to open for proper use.And Tottenham have planned two events which are seeped in the club’s history, both recent and distant.Ryan Mason, the former Spurs midfielder, will be in the dugout for the Under-18s match having been shadowing academy staff since retiring through injury last year. There is no confirmation as to whether the 27-year-old will be involved in the legends match on March 30, though the roster is already filling up with famous faces from yesteryear.Tottenham’s former captain and second-highest appearance maker Gary Mabbutt will be manager of a team which includes Robbie Keane, Rafael van der Vaart, Dimitar Berbatov, Allan Nielsen, David Howells, Stephen Carr, Darren Anderton and goalkeeper Erik Thorstvedt.Tottenham promise there are ‘many more stars still to be revealed’.
